What is this day about?

This day has been designed to share experience and good practice between local NHS organisations to help provide a platform to enable SHAs and LHCs to significantly progress and increase utilisation of Choose and Book locally. Specifically, it is to provide a forum where people can come and talk about Choose and Book implementation and issues that they are finding particularly difficult, in order that they can overcome the hurdles and challenges they’re facing.

Sessions will include

  • An overview of how implementation is progressing, both in your area and nationally.
  • An opportunity to discuss and feedback through workshop sessions with experts from both the local and the national team covering
    - How to describe and find services effectively
    - How to manage and support technical delivery
    - Commissioning services to include capacity and demand and managing outpatient appointments

Who should attend?

Key influencers from across the SHA and LHC including:

  • Accountable directors (or those with clearly delegated authority to make decisions regarding Choose and Book)
  • SHA staff responsible for delivering Choose and Book
  • Clinical and non clinical Trust staff (both DBS and IBS) involved in implementing and/or using Choose and Book
  • GP practice staff – both clinical and non clinical staff with experience of implementing and/or using Choose and Book.
  • PCT staff involved in Choose and Book implementation in their area
